With over 1,000 e-cards available it can be tricky one, but here are a couple of ways to get started:
- Browse Categories: Select any one of the categories to see the e-cards available within that category.
- Featured E-Cards: You can pick from a selection of our most popular e-cards on our E-cards home page. If you see one you like, just click the link below it. You can also select among the Top 12 or New E-cards.
Sending e-cards is an easy 4-step process:
Step 1: | Select the e-card you would like to send from our e-cards collection. You can browse the categories of e-cards available. Click on a category name, and view the e-cards available within that category.
Step 2: | Enter both your and the recipient's name and e-mail addresses, a subject and a message.

card from being sent.
To make additional changes before you sending, click the Back button on your browser. The recipient will receive an e-mail message telling them that they have an e-card from you and how to retrieved from our site. |
How long does it take to send an e-card?
Puerto Rico E-cards creates and stores your e-card as soon as you click on the Send button. At the same instant, an e-mail message is sent to the recipient. If there is any delay, this maybe due to a delay in the mail server of your recipient or during peak times the delivery of e-cards may be delayed due to the heavy volume being sent.
How much does it cost to send an e-card?
Absolutely NOTHING! It's a service, that we offer to you for free! There are no charges, hidden costs, or gimmicks associated with sending or receiving our e-cards.
Is there a limit to the e-cards I could send?
No, there is no limit. You can send as many as you like.
Do I have to be a member or have a pickup code to send an e-card?
No. You don't have to sign up for membership or need a pickup code to send e-cards. A pickup code is only needed to view an e-card that has been already sent.
What is the maximum length of the message that I can send?
We do not impose any limit on the text written on an e-card. However non-Netscape users may face problems if the text exceeds 512 characters.
I'm typing a correct e-mail address, but I'm getting an error message. What do I do?
Probably you are getting an error message because the e-mail address you have entered contained spaces, just remove them and you won't get the error message.
Can anyone other than my recipient read my e-card?
No, only the recipient can read the e-card. The recipient gets a unique pickup code which is needed to retrieve the e-card. If you don't have the pickup code, you can't read the e-card.
Why didn't the person I sent my e-card to receive it?
The most common cause for this problem is a mistyped address. If you entered an incorrect e-mail address, your e-card could not be delivered to the correct recipient. Make sure the e-mail address is correct.
It is also possible that the e-mail notification got lost due to one or more following reasons:
- Recipient no longer has an e-mail account
- Recipient's mailbox is full
- Recipient has e-mail blocking or their Internet service provider could be blocking e-mail from a particular server
How do I cancel an e-card I have sent?
Once the send e-card, the e-card cannot be canceled, changed, or retrieved. E-cards are sent immediately after you click the Send button. Like in traditional postal service - once you sent a letter it cannot be turned back.
I sent an e-card to a wrong address. What do I do now?
If you think that you have made an error in addressing the e-card, you can always return and send the e-card again to the correct recipient.
How can I send an e-card to multiple recipients?
Currently you can only send an e-card to one person at a time.
We don't have an automatic function to allow multiple destinations, because of the danger of misuse. However, you can use one of these techniques to send the e-card to several different destinations.
1. If you're only sending to a few addresses:
- once you've sent the e-card to one person, use the back button on your browser to go back to the e-card entry form
- change the recipient's name and e-mail address
- resend the e-card
- repeat if necessary
2. If you're sending to a large list of addresses, or to a mailing list:
- fill in the e-card info, but in the recipient e-mail address box, enter your own e-mail address
- send the e-card
- once you receive the e-card notification message through e-mail, forward or cut-and-paste the subject and body of the message into a new e-mail message send the new message to all the people you want to view the e-card
The e-mail notification we sent you contains a URL (web address) for the e-card you received. Click on the link to view your e-card.
If clicking on the link doesn't work, try copying and pasting the entire URL into the address window of your browser and hit Enter.
Finally, you can go to our pickup page at welcome.topuertorico.org/postcard. Enter your pickup code exactly as it appears in the e-mail notification you received.
Why I'm getting an error message when I try to pickup my e-card?
The error message can be due to few reasons:
- E-cards are saved for 14 days, so you have 14 days to view your e-card from the date it was created. Check your notification e-mail; if it was sent over 14 days ago, your e-card has been deleted from our system.
- You typed an incorrect pickup code. Please consider some of the most common mistakes made when entering pickup codes.
How long do I have to view an e-card?
An e-card remains available for viewing on our site for 14 days. For your security, cards sent more than 14 days ago are permanently deleted and cannot be retrieved.
Why can't I pickup e-cards after 2 weeks?
Each e-card takes up space on the server. We have to pay for that space. It also affects the response time, when it has to look through all those e-cards to retrieve yours.
What do I do if my e-card has expired? Can I request its retrieval?
E-cards are kept for 2 weeks from the day they are sent. After that time, all e-cards are deleted -- e-cards can not be retrieved even by us after 2 weeks. Given the high volume of e-cards sent, we are currently unable to store e-cards longer, as e-cards takes up space on the server. As we invest more in our system, we hope to be able to keep e-cards for longer periods. We realize that in some occasions a recipient is unable to pickup their e-card within the this time. We apologize, for we understand the importance of your correspondence; but we hope you understand why we must maintain this policy.
Why am I having trouble viewing your e-cards?
Puerto Rico E-cards are designed to work with most popular web browsers. We recommend upgrading to a more recent browser. Upgrades are free and easy.
There may be other reasons why you are having trouble viewing the cards:
- Make sure you type your pickup code exactly as appear in the message we sent you. Puerto Rico E-cards pickup code is case sensitive.
- We usually recommend to copy and paste the pickup code directly from your e-mail reader to your web browser (the most accurate method), but for AOL and Prodigy users this option in most cases is not allowed. In this case you have to be very careful when you enter that long string of information into a Web browser's location window. Ex. Some people has mistaken 1 (one) and l (as in love). or 0 (zero) with a capital O.
- Pickup codes consists of 7 characters, the first 3 are letters, the last four are numbers.
- Eliminate spaces.
Just send us an e-mail and mention your pickup code. We will do everything we can to lock out the person who sent the e-card. Each time an e-card is sent, the program also logs the IP address of the sender.
